In New Brunswick, properties registered before June 1, 2012 had a land transfer tax rate of 0.25% of the assessed value. On properties registered after June 1, 2012, the tax rate is currently 0.5% of the assessed value of the property. New Brunswick or it\’s municipalities do not offer a rebate for first-time home buyers.
