Yukon does not impose land transfer tax, and charges only nominal registration fees. The highest fee is only $29.25 plus $0.25 for each $1,000 of the value in excess of $25,000. Similarly, to register a mortgage the highest fee is only $42 plus $0.25 for each $1,000 over $50,000. Yukon Territory or it’s municipalities do not offer a rebate for first-time home buyers.
